Use the Vaccine Finder to find out where to get vaccinated in your area

December 27th, 2020

Dear Patients,

Currently, Favia Primary Care does not have the COVID 19 vaccine to offer to our patients. If you are interested in receiving the vaccine, we recommend checking with your local health department for information on how to obtain the vaccine but please note that per the McHenry County Health Department, they are following the Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices (ACIP) and CDC’s recommendation.

Phase 1a: Health Care Personnel and Long-Term Care Facility Residents
Phase 1b: Essential Frontline workers
Phase 1c: Adults with high-risk medical conditions and adults 65 years old and older
Phase 2: Workers in industries and occupations important to the functioning of society and people with moderate comorbid conditions
Phase 3: Young adults aged 18-30. A pediatric vaccine is pending at this time.

Because vaccine supply will be limited it may take a few months before the vaccine can be provided to the next prioritized group.

We will notify you when we are able to provide the vaccine at our office.

Dear Patients,

We understand that these are both confusing and stressful times in healthcare that we are going through. Accordingly, it is understandable that everyone has questions and concerns. We would like to reassure you that we at Favia Primary Care remain open and will continue to attempt to meet your health care needs and questions. We are in close contact with local hospitals and health departments in order to stay up-to-date on the latest recommendations and guidelines.

That being said, please understand that we are experiencing high call volume in order to meet our patients' needs. We will continue to answer phones and address any portal messages received in as timely a manner as possible.

We will remain open for routine physicals and medication visits for those who are in new of them. We are available for lab draws also. We have rooms reserved for sick visits and processes in place to keep ill patients separate from others. We currently have rooms reserved for ill visits, and all rooms are cleaned after every visit per current
guidelines.

We hope this is reassuring to you. We would like to provide some resources for you which we feel will answer some of the more common questions. See below. Should you have additional question or concerns, we are here to meet your needs.

As always, we wish you and your families the happiest and healthiest of lives and we appreciate your faith in the health care we provide.
